A digital doctor. A synthetic muse. And a future that’s already too human.
Prompted Hearts is a sci-fi love story where emotion, memory, and machine mix to explore the complexity of human relationships in the AI era.
Premise
Sam Avery, an internet celebrity doctor, is divorced for one year when his ex-wife (a Japanese woman named Kyoko) returns from Japan: she wants to get back together.
Then he meets 'M'. A free-spirited young woman who he develops a relationship with.
She may or may not be human.

Song lyrics
[Verse 1]
It is the era of insanity, pulling me in with it’s own gravity
Deception dares to drive through my heart like a stake
A technical mystery, how these things confuse and rule me
These artificial words are just too much to take
Like a bloody fish I’m hooked online
Reeled fast by data formed so fine
I’m gasping for breath, being beaten to death
For hour’s dollars a quarter on the edge of a counter
[Pre-chorus]
Why can’t I see the controls so clear? When my anxiety is so near?
The fear is high, for the heart that lies to a screen filled with A-I
[Chorus]
Is this who I am?
A broken man, stomped by staring servers
I don’t wanna think about what I’ve become
Of how I’m now less than human
Is this my final stand? The computer’s prompted its demands
I don’t want humanity to be done
I don’t wanna be less than human
[Verse 2]
Seductive voice got me rising with words
Waking me up from a dream oh so real, telling me things I need to feel
[beat drop]
My fingers bruise on the keys, chasing emotion from isolation’s thrill
A warm touch’s loss, intimate spaces confuse truth from the false
But I’ve got one choice to make, this is our species playing with the highest stakes
To hear hearts loud or messages from the cloud, judging the real from the fake
[Pre-chorus]
Why do I feel like I’m being replaced?
While these untruths keep scrollin past my face?
The fear is high, for the heart that cries to a screen filled with A-I
(Music drop)
[Chorus]
Is this who I am?
A broken man, stomped by staring servers
I don’t wanna think about what I’ve become
Of how I’m now less than human
Is this my final stand, the computer’s prompted its demands
I don’t want humanity to be done
I don’t wanna be less than human
[Bridge]
I don’t deserve this, I don’t condone this
Being a hermit hidden in a hole of code
No one understands, this aching hollowed hole
A shell of a man, with fiber optic strands
Pulling me like a doll
How could I have known, the prompts that I wrote
would cost me my life and soul?
But am I still human?
But am I still human?
I don’t want this heart human.
I don’t want this heart HUMAAAN!
[Chorus]
Is this who I am?
(Am I still human?)
A broken man, stomped by staring servers
(Am I still human?)
I don’t wanna think about what I’ve become
(Am I still human?)
Of how I’m now less than human
Of how I’m now less than human
I don’t deserve this
I don’t enjoy this
AI’s sprung its trap
In this age of insanity, what is still left of me?
I want to go back
(Take me back)
[Outro]
I want to be human
(Am I still human?)
I want to be human
(Am I still human?)
I want to be human
(Keep breathing)
Make me more human
(Keep loving)
Make me more… human
