NOTE: This is one of those books - I don't understand how it got so popular.

It's a difficult read. Not mechanically, but story-wise. Very unclear what's going on or why.

Is it written well? Yes. The sentences are great. World is very vivid.

But the experience plays out in flashes of detail that, five chapters in, isn't forming a complete picture for me. I'm losing interest and I got a lot of other books to read so...

Might give it one more shot to hook me tomorrow. Or maybe not.
