I ran into Latin while reading “House of Leaves”.
This language is the root for most languages in the Western world. Knowing it, even in a limited capacity, will improve your writing and reading in Spanish, French, Portuguese, English (of course), and many more.
Day 1 - Intro to Latin Video series
I listened two this video twice. (Yes listened, not watched.) In under 30 minutes, I felt like I had a good grasp of the basics.
I also got through half of the second video in the series. I found these lessons to be well-paced and easy to follow.
Day 2 - Easy Latin Lesson #2
Completed this lesson and wrote my first sentence.
