Project 1 - Cartoon Hero

Background

A beginner cartoon from the Cartoon Hero course.

I purchased this course a year ago in 2025. Now I'm just getting around to doing the projects. Animation will become key to distributing my stories in the future. I want to get familiar with this new AI workflow.

This isn't my first animation with AI. I did two experimental projects last year with original stories (Chinchilla Run and the first, Cereus & Limnic: Escape From Okinawa - Type B Trailer).

Those were fun projects. But that was a year ago. I didn't stick with the process long enough to internalize the techniques, many of which have greatly expanded since AI video tools have only become more sophisticated in 2026.

So this time I'm taking it slow.

I plan to complete the class projects as prescribed to work up to doing my own material.

Animation (and the skills related to it) are the final frontier for my creative tool set. Look for more experiments in this domain soon.

Poor Steve, he's hopeless.
