My Best Book Yet, Now a Surprise Amazon Bestseller Contender

By khayden

This will be a brief weekly update.

The last two weeks, no, this entire month has been a foot race increasing in pace.

2 trips away from home, guests at the house, and (my greatest achievement) successfully writing and marketing my military memory book Hayden: Brave have kept me incredibly busy.

Here’s the list of last week’s feats:

Not much to report, since I was primarily working on the book with any open moment.

Plans for this week

This week the focus is on promoting Hayden: Brave.

When I finished the manuscript late Saturday night I reread it and was surprised. This is by far the best book I’ve ever written.

It’s descriptive, masterfully paced, and does the hard job of telling the story of my military career without reading like a soulless military bio very well.

The inclusion of journal entries from my career increase the authenticity and give it a raw feel. It’s honest and open containing several things I struggled with during my service that I’ve never shared with many people before.

Most impressive of all is – it’s selling.

I’ve gathered 6 pre-orders so far. All ordered the book because they are genuinely excited to read it, not just as a favor.

That’s HUGE.

For all of my other books I’ve barely sold more than 5 copies each. This one has already surpassed that, and it’s not even out yet.

The greater surprise is that it’s ranking on the Amazon best-seller’s list, even beating out an anticipated title from legendary author James Patterson for the top spot in the Air Force Biography New Release category.

It’s currently sitting at #6 for the entire Air Force Biography category.

Could it become an Amazon best-seller?

The book has the quality, emotional weight, and length (it’s not too long and people will actually read it) to have a shot.

My other primary plan is to rest.

Writing a book in a month takes it out of you. And attending VirtuousCon has knocked me off my sleep schedule. I’ll have to reset midweek.
