This past week has been a transformative one. After committing fully to publishing on my website, I’ve embraced a fascinating blend of modern AI solutions and my tried-and-true writing methods. The results have been surprising and immensely satisfying! Here come the details.
AI-Driven Storytelling & Language Learning
For a creative challenge, I used Google Gemini to write an Italian short story, “La Menzogna” (The Lie). I wanted to test its world-building abilities, and honestly, Gemini blew me away! It outperformed ChatGPT in creating believable dialogue and pacing. The success of this story has already inspired me to craft its prequel.
I’ve also integrated Gemini and ChatGPT into my Japanese studies. Creating mini-lessons is now a streamlined process: AI kicks things off, I apply my expertise, and the result is something valuable for my website. As an advanced learner, I can target multiple skill levels in one post. With 123 lessons published, and AI helping analyze every sentence, I’m truly building a powerful Japanese language resource.

AI assistance continues to change the game! Not only am I writing richer content, but also at insane speeds. A recent blog post took me only 20 minutes – a personal record. It’s clear that AI has become an indispensable part of my teaching and ability to share my work online.
Podcasts, Publishing, and a Passion Project
My brother and I recorded a thought-provoking episode of “Two Brothers Talking” about Google Gemini and author challenges on Amazon. With some AI magic, I whipped up the accompanying blog post, edited the podcast audio, and tackled promotion – all within three hours! Talk about multi-tasking.
Speaking of passion projects, my military memoir, “Hayden Brave,” (pre-order here!) has admittedly shifted from a quick AI-powered write to a more personal endeavor. It’s taking longer than anticipated since I’m including journal entries from my time in service. This will make it a much deeper personal experience.
Personal commitments meant putting my keyboard to work the traditional way. But the effort’s paying off: pre-orders are trickling in, and I’m gaining presence within online author communities.
